About

A US company standing behind a Chinese robot line.

TPML Automation, Inc. is a Michigan corporation based in Comstock Park. We import, stock and support ROKAE robots for the United States, and the cells themselves are built by certified systems integrators.

The ROKAE relationship

We are ROKAE Robotics’ distributor for the United States. ROKAE designs and manufactures the robots; we buy them, hold them in US inventory, sell them through the integrator channel, and support them here.

That is a distribution relationship and nothing more. The two companies are independent — there is no partnership, joint venture or agency between us, and neither has authority to bind the other. When a technical problem needs the people who designed the arm, we escalate it into ROKAE engineering and carry it ourselves rather than handing you off.

ROKAE builds industrial robots, collaborative robots and embodied-intelligence systems on a control platform it develops itself. It reports over 1,000 customers in more than 40 countries and manufactures at a 60,000 m² plant in Shandong. It listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in July 2026.

Why we exist

Capable robots reach the US market every year and fail here for reasons that have nothing to do with the hardware. Parts sit overseas. Documentation arrives half-translated. The support number is nine hours ahead. The integrator who staked their reputation on the cell is left holding it alone.

Solving that is not a marketing problem, it is an inventory and staffing problem — stock on a shelf in Michigan, parts beside it, and people who answer. That is the company.

Michigan, and veteran-owned

We are based in Comstock Park, MI, which puts us inside a day’s drive of a large share of North American manufacturing. TPML Automation, Inc. is a veteran-owned business. It is a commercial company and does not hold or trade on federal small-business set-aside certifications.

TPML Automation, Inc. is part of the Borgdorff Management, Inc. family of companies.
